Luna Moths, Dragonflies and Butterflies - The Symbolic Journey of Faith and Love

 Dragonfly and Butterfly are led by the Light of the Sun, guided by its warm and healing energy to travel their journey with optimism and joy. Luna Moth is guided by the Light of the Moon who teaches her to Trust, to trust  in her inner knowing, confident that even though she may not see the path... it is there before her. 
From their beautiful delicate lives we are urged to make the most of our moments, to live and love to the fullest, for the path of Light  Love Faith and Trust are the ultimate journey.

My newest painting, "The Journey of Faith and Love", was meant to express the path of life. In an Art Nouveau style I brought together the symbolic elements of the circle of life; the honey brown golden swirls represent the sun, the turquoise swirls represent the moon, the flower chalice holds the moon which represents the Universe, and the blossoming flower petals represent our personal growth. The elements are painted as a Mandala, with the Luna Moths and White Butterflies within its borders. 
The bright colors against the black night sky background show us how our Faith illuminates the path before us.

Thank you Catherine. I altered my painting mode a bit for this one, and followed an Art Nouveau style which I love. I feel like it really rounded out my work. I am exploring this style on another painting this weekend.

New Year Quest to Organize and Simplify

I'm spending the remainder of the year trying to make life easier, simplify, organize, with the eternal quest to find more time in my day. So many hours are spent now on social media that I strive to find the balance between creating and connecting.  The past few months my blogs have suffered from this, my writing being sporadic. I'm committing to get back to my consistency with the blogging, as it has always been one of my first loves....and especially the time   reading my favorite blogs.  I found Bloglovin where I can keep track of my favorite reads nicely, in one simple clean format.
