How we tend our gardens and our commitment to it, is just as important as its harvest. As with any dream or goal, we can't expect to plant the seeds and allow it to fend for itself. Each day it needs our love and care in order for it to grow into its fullest potential. The Roman Goddess, Pomona, is symbolic of this very thing. She is known for the relationship that we carry with our gardens. Her focus was on the "tending", rather than the harvest. In a sense, that seems to make her a Goddess who lives in the moment, and operates on "one day at a time". She understands and respects the hard work that is involved with realizing a goal.
