The Goddess of Starting Over

This Goddess carries no name.....for now, because for now she is in a self induced dormancy. She has laid down all of the extra baggage that she has been carrying around, all that luggage that has been weighing on her. Like washing her face before bedtime, she has cleansed herself for this trans formative  period. On the outside she appears quiet and neutral almost barren, like a blank canvas.

On the inside, OH on the inside,  there is a swirl of activity. She has planted her seeds, made her wishes, put her intentions out to the Universe, done her internal personal work, and soon the very delicate flower buds will begin to emerge.

She is Starting Over. This time is for Her, time to Heal, time to be Selfish, time to simply and beautifully Be.
She is rebuilding her self, piece by piece, taking all that she has learned and now putting all those pieces together that create her magnificent Spirit. She is seizing this new Season as her Own.

Those days of living for someone else and as someone else are over. It took a lot of hard work to get here, a lot of tears and a lot of joy, and now she patiently waits for the unveiling of her Truest Self.

The Goddess of Starting Over is #14 in my "30 Goddesses in 30 Days" watercolor series. She is available in listed in my Etsy shop here

Dona Nobis Pacem - Grant Us Peace

My entire adult life has been spent seeking, sharing, and Being Peace. I strive to surround myself with people who live their lives in a peaceful way, and try to inspire those who struggle to obtain it.  When I was young, I was blessed to grow up in an area of Upstate NY that was rich in cultural diversity. "Normal" to me was being immersed in that melting pot that was defined by so very many cultures and religions. My memories are filled with weekend events - celebrations, dinners, and dances held at different cultural community centers and churches. Everyone was welcome, and everyone would partake. This place had been a destination for many immigrants years back due to the opportunities for work. I remember my grandparents telling me about the old shoe and cigar factories, which were popular places for jobs. As the area grew, more and more industry came. Families were proud and grateful to have life long jobs that allowed them to take care of their families. There

The Queen Bee's Honeycomb - The Nourishment of Life

The "Crowning" of the new Queen Bee was widely celebrated and holds special significance not only within her Hive, but throughout our worldly existence. Her post insures new life , the continuation of their colony , communities working together , and true concept of how each life affects another .  Her existence represents fully and in depth, the Sweetness of Life .  (I must chuckle when thinking - "No pressure, dear little one" ) The Queen Bee's Honeycomb - The Nourishment of Life- Contemporary Folk Painting by Jeanne Fry Clover holds special significance to the Bee as one of their main nectar sources, and we could all take a little care with clover whose symbolism represents living a life of comfort, ease, and prosperity.  Their magnificent Honeycomb is one to be marveled, so much work by colony, one by one each little hexagon created to build the structure.
