Master Number 33 - Mission of the Old Soul

"Mission of the Old Soul" is an Original Mixed Media Painting done in a monochromatic style, utilizing an accent color, shades of black and white with a bit of deep red. The Old Soul is represented by the aged door with wings and the 33. The number 33 is a Master Number with great symbolism. It personifies the Old Soul, the Master Teacher, who carries vast responsibility. The Old Soul is highly sensitive and spiritually evolved, concerned for the Earth and ALL of humanity. Dedicated to raising consciousness and doing good in the world, they committed to a life of service...a Steward of Humanity. "Mission of the Old Soul" was created with Acrylics and Golden Gels on a stretched canvas that measures 16 inches x 20 inches. The Original Painting has SOLD but you can collect Fine Art Prints and Products on my Pixels site here  Mission of the Old Soul ART PRINT

Sunday Mornings of an Artist

Sunday Mornings are my sacred time, the time when I re-group and focus on my Self. I reflect on my journey and my purpose, on the people that I have connected to in this life, and how we all impact one another.  This is when the vast majority of my ideas are born, when my intuitive self is most confident in my direction. Inspirations and images flow through me with ease, sometimes so fast I have to write them hurriedly in my worn dog-eared notebooks of artwork that is yet to become. Each thought or concept is a Seed to be planted. Each one to be symbolically created either to encourage me through my own life or to be the hand that holds another's during their journey.  Isn't that why we are all here?  To help one another through this life?  To stand with one another? As my life has evolved, this is the way in which my compassion for others has transformed. And. ...this is the way that my compassion for my Self has transformed. I try to infuse this love ...

Luna Moths, Dragonflies and Butterflies - The Symbolic Journey of Faith and Love

Dragonfly and Butterfly are led by the Light of the Sun, guided by its warm and healing energy to travel their journey with optimism and joy. Luna Moth is guided by the Light of the Moon who teaches her to Trust, to trust  in her inner knowing, confident that even though she may not see the path... it is there before her.  From their beautiful delicate lives we are urged to make the most of our moments, to live and love to the fullest, for the path of Light  Love Faith and Trust are the ultimate journey. "The Journey of Faith and Love" Original Painting by Jeanne Fry My newest painting, "The Journey of Faith and Love", was meant to express the path of life. In an Art Nouveau style I brought together the symbolic elements of the circle of life; the honey brown golden swirls represent the sun, the turquoise swirls represent the moon, the flower chalice holds the moon which represents the Universe, and the blossoming flower petals represent our personal...

Red Poppy Flower Symbolism

The beautiful Red Poppy has rich and meaningful symbolism. Its flower develops in a cup-like shape, representing our emotional spirits and the need to "fill the cup" with the nurturing of Self. It is linked to self esteem and personal power, therefore inspiring one to immerse themselves with the things that make them feel confident in their "own".  The color Red represents Survival, Power, and how one Walks in this World. Bringing the shape and color together, it reminds us that when we stand confident and tall in our being that our personal power helps us to achieve unlimited possibilities on our Path.  The Red Poppy is Strength and Power within our Body, Mind, and Spirit.  When you are feeling drained or have doubts, bringing Red Poppies into your home can inspire one to come back into balance and take care of Self. Their long stems encourage us to reach for the sky and make our dreams happen. This is my new Original Contemporary Folk painting t...

Blackbird Fly - Using Art to Recreate a Memory

I love those moments when a certain trigger can call up a "feel good" memory from the past...those moments that make you feel safe, loved, and protected unconditionally. Sometimes it's a scent, a color, or even a song. The song "Blackbird" is one of those triggers for me. I was surrounded by music when I was a little girl. My father was a musician, so there was always music playing in the house or he was playing guitar and singing. I remember countless times that he would play Blackbird for me. He would sit on the edge of the couch or in a chair with his guitar and softly sing to me, many times when I was ill or after my surgery.  It encouraged me with the phrase "take your broken wing and learn to fly"...It was comparably like learning to ride a bike. You are scared at whether you will be able to do it, but you know that your dad is hanging on and guiding you...that everything is going to be alright. Still to this day whenever I hear the son...

Jeanne Fry Art and the Inspiration behind the Paintbrush

Labels are difficult. When it comes to describing one's art, we tend to have styles and certain techniques that become basics in our toolbox, but placing ourselves in a box with a label is a challenge. I have often gone back and forth with what "type" of artist I am. Artists change as they grow. Themes, styles, and techniques can flow through us like a mood. Today I think if I was pressed to put a label on myself as an artist I would say that I was a Contemporary Folk Artist.   I have two main focuses in creating. One is Women's Empowerment. I often create artwork that focuses on inspirational, uplifting, and supportive pieces that remind women of how strong they are, how much they can accomplish, and how diverse each one of us can be. As I move through the phases of being a woman, learning and growing, I share those moments on the canvas. I know that I am not alone in my life lessons. Others are experiencing the same process of growth along with me.  ...
