I am a woman who likes the "in between", the moments of Transition, or the grey areas. I have always been intrigued by the bridge between earth and sky, and the morning and evening twilight. These moments to me are the magic time, the times when anything is possible, when things are up for interpretation, and when we can change the course of things. And so, I feel this is when we are most connected with our own intuitive senses and need to trust in ourselves as we walk the path.
These thoughts are what inspired my 9th Goddess painting in the Goddess series, Aurora Goddess of the Dawn. Aurora represents the Dawn, the beginning of the Morning Twilight. For me, this is the bridge between day and night, when the Sun is thinking of making its appearance yet the moon and stars are still at the party. All of the elements of day and night are present. Hopeful wishes of what the day has to bring creep into the mind, while we are still wrapped in the cloak of the night's safety and comfort. The twilight sky emits a color palette conjoining the polarities and glows the color of "Infinite Possibility".
And so, this is my interpretation of Aurora. She herself was painted during the twilight, with a dreamy look in her eyes as she looks up at the sky and its wonderment. Dawn's colors flow through her hair while the stars still twinkle just for her.
This painting was created with Peerless Transparent Watercolors on Strathmore Watercolor Paper. She is the 9th Goddess in my 30 Goddesses in 30 Days series.
